Blogging for business

Today I will discuss blogging for business, which is ironic because it comes to you in the form of a blog.
Today I will discuss blogging for business, which is ironic because it comes to you in the form of a blog. The whole issue of blogs is all very new to me, but as I became more involved in the web I soon learned of the extent blogs are being used and the role it plays on the web. I feel a bit reserved to give my opinion on this issue simply because of my lack of experience with blogging. However, I feel that using blogs as a marketing venture is perhaps not such a good idea because of the casual nature that is often associated with it. Blogs are sometimes viewed as a form of diary writing, fan clubs or gossip columns that can be written by anyone without any security of the validity of its content. Granted, I realize that there are plenty of other means of marketing that may be equally as untrustworthy, but blogs can be posted by people who could have absolutely no connection to a particular product or service. In addition, blogs are used for personal communication, and there are many cases in which people trash talk one another and engage in other unprofessional discussions. It is for these reasons that I believe blogs should not be used to market a business.
